City tour visiting the Cathedral, the Government Palace, the Quinta Gameros University Cultural Center, and the Pancho Villa House – Museum of the Revolution. Upon completion, our transfer to the Magical Town of Creel is included.

DAY 3: CREEL TO BAHUICHIVO - CEROCAHUI

Departure on the Chepe Express train from Creel to Bahuichivo. Experience Mexico's most spectacular train, featuring a panoramic terrace that runs the entire length of the train.

Short trail run near Cerocahui (easy pace, ideal for acclimatization)
The trail begins at the cabins and winds through pine forests and canyons before reaching the spectacular Cola de Caballo Waterfall, one of the natural treasures of Mexico's Sierra Tarahumara. Approximate Distance: 7 km | Difficulty Level: Moderate | Estimated Running Time: 1.5–2 hours.

DAY 4: CEROCAHUI TO CERRO DEL GALLEGO

We begin on the route to the Viewpoint, a mountain trail featuring steep ascents and descents. Approximate Distance: 12.5 km | Difficulty: Moderate to Challenging | Estimated Running Time: 1 hr 20 min – 2 hrs
Return to the hotel and lunch included. Workshop for preparing traditional Rarámuri sandals, handmade with tire-rubber soles and leather cord — the same footwear these legendary runners have used to conquer ultramarathons around the world.

DAY 5: CEROCAHUI – CERRO DEL GALLEGO – URIQUE CANYON

Van transfer to Cerro del Gallego for the descent to the town of Urique.
Descent into the deepest canyon in the system. Approximate Distance: 10.5 km | Difficulty: Challenging | Estimated Running Time: 55–90 min
Picnic by the Urique River — Make the most of the setting (the town is right on the riverbank).
After our break, we return by van to our hotel in Cerocahui.
Temazcal experience. A highly valued tradition after physical exertion — the intense heat helps relax muscles, and culturally it's seen as a symbolic closing ritual of "purification."

There's no mental preparation that matches the moment of standing at the edge of Cerro del Gallego and knowing that tiny town, visible almost 1,900 meters below, is the destination. Running this descent means confronting one of the most dramatic elevation drops in the entire Copper Canyon system: roughly 10 to 13 kilometers of dirt road winding along the precipice, losing altitude steadily as the landscape transforms before the runner's eyes.
DAY 6: CEROCAHUI – BAHUICHIVO – COPPER CANYON
